THINKING ABOUT A
CUSTOM BUILT HOME?
What You'll Need
Before we can build your dream home, Matt Wichert Construction recommends you seek professional architectural design expertise. Topeka offers many well respected architects who specialize in custom home design.
What to Expect
Once we receive the design drawings and review all construction documents, and review with you your own requests, we will share, in detail, our 4 phase process to building your home:
Phase One
Matt Wichert Construction begins phase one with obtaining a building permit, assessing road access (if needed), complete building site preparation and finish the foundation work.
Phase Two
Next, after site prep and foundation have been completed, house framing, rough-ins, and exterior work begins. This is where roofing, windows, exterior doors, siding and veneer work is completed.
Phase Three
Once the foundation and exterior construction has been completed, phase three involves all interior installations. This includes drywall, cabinets, countertops, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, trim, and interior doors.
Phase Four
Matt Wichert Construction's final phase of building your new home involves topouts (quality control inspections) on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, paint, floor coverings, punch-outs (repairs/fixes discovered during inspections) and a final inspection and walk-through with homeowners.
If building your dream home is important to you, no job is too small or too big for us. We build dreams, one home at a time.
